Wan Tan Mee Sg Besi is one of the places I used to come after finish clubbing back in my college days. It had been donkey years since I last visited here. Also it was after a not so exciting fine dine dinner, every one decided to go for supper and suggested this place. One of the location quite center for all my friends before heading back.
Some call this place as Wan Tan Mee Sg Besi or Wan Tan Mee Sungai Besi is still one of the well known supper place till date as the stall is still pack with people.
They only start to operate after 6pm cuz in the day time, this shop is a car mechanic workshop.
A few times I drove pass by this shop and the crowd is this consistent over the years.
there are few items which is the stall signature such as Wild Boar Curry Wan Tan Mee, chicken feet Wan Tan Mee or you can opt it as a side dishes.
I wanted Roast Pork for it as they are already sold out. So opted for Siew Yuk and Chicken feet. (which I totally forgot about their wild boar curry)
Wan tan mee sauce here is on the sweet after taste which is quite different from Penang which is the salty version. Hence if you are not used to the taste of it, you might find it abit weird. Still love the noodle here as it is still springy as it is and chicken feet is still as good as it used to be.
Their “Sui Kow” is so so only.
Well, this Sungai Besi Wan Tan Mee as a supper place that operate till 3am or 3.30 am, food quality over the years is still there. Not to say fantastic but a nice decent place for late night meal.

Regrettably I wasn’t impressed. I have had better. Was there once in the 90s. Never went back. 1 of the reasons is that the sauce is a little too sweet, as the writer pointed out. No right or wrong, I guess. A matter of personal taste 😁 Cheers
any where you would recommend for wan tan mee or your fav?
