Was told by the 2 lady that Rochford Wines is identified as one of the iconic Australian “Day On the Green” music festivals where Rochford Winery is situated in one of the most stunning regions in Australia with breathtaking panoramic views of the Great Dividing Ranges that makes them one of a glory wineyard in Yarra Valley, Melbourne.
The Winery showcases a restaurant, cafe and patio, cellar door, retail shop, wine club, art gallery and expansive natural amphitheatre and observation tower along with indoor and outdoor area that able to host a catering up to 7000 pax.
They have pretty interesting items that are sold here where mostly are handmade items from folks around the area.
So we begin our wine tasting and being hosted by this amazing friendly girl Millie that have huge passion in wine.
This is Millie, that is nice and patient enough to explain nearly everything to us. Thank you. We bought 3 bottles back from her explanation, recommendations that suits to our palate. It was down to our favourite:
- 2012 Single Vineyard – Pinot Noir
- 2012 Single Wineyard – Cabernet Souvignon
- Sweet Wine – 2013 Late Harvest white
For those who love dessert wine, this Rochford Muscat might suit your palate where it is too sweet for me.
Some of their creative packaging for chocolate.
We enjoyed our time here and a place worth to visit.
