When you are in Din Dai Fung, it is just wrong that you never order their signature dish, Xiau Long Bao. . . It is like wearing a shirt without wearing a pair pants, not complete.
Chicken Xiao Long Bao @ RM9.80 for 6 pieces. The great about this thing is, after steam, there will be a soup base at the bottom of the skin, and just need to be eaten pippin hot by sucking out the soup first, then stuff in ginger and vinegar in it to eat next.
If you feel that those normal ones are big for you then, now they have Baby Xiao Long Bao @ RM13.80 for 12 pieces.
The trick to eat it even better is to take the mini Xiau Long Bao that was served with chicken superior broth, add it onto the soup base then eat along to make it a bit soupy. I sure do not mind to have the whole basket by myself!
One of my favourite of the day is by introducing you the new Truffle Xiao Long Bao @ RM12 for 2 pcs.
Strong hint of wild mushroom taste that reminds me something similar like Alexis Mushroom soup, that filled with juicy pork meat and the juice that ooze out from the steaming just taste awesome! A recommended dish by me!
The trick to eat on this is just purely without any vinegar or ginger, just by putting it into your mouth to rape every taste of it.
*remark: those who do not really like mushroom taste, you might find it quite strong in taste
Shrimp and Pork Fried Rice @ RM15
Mini Sesame Buns @ RM5.50 for 3 pcs
Soft buns that steam perfectly without the skin sticking on your hand filled with sesame paste that reminds me the taste when I was eating it in Taiwan.
to end your meal, you can go along with Yam Paste Dumplings @ RM7.50 for 6 pcs.
Soft and smooth yam paste certainly reminds me taste like ‘Or Ni’ and in this version, turns out to be good.
*Set lunch available Monday to Friday before 6pm. Priced at RM19.80++.
