Gangnam Oppa BBQ is one of the latest Korean BBQ joint at Uptown Damansara. It is run by a Korean family and I quite love this restaurant. Among many other BBQ place, their seasoning is a bit mild and this outlet, they have heavy seasoning hence the marinated meat hit onto the bbq pit. It smells and taste good.
The outlet is located in between Old Town White Coffee and Hong Leong Bank.
Their free-flow banchans is good too!
A must for me.
Love their Doenjang Jigge @ RM 18. Soybean paste stew is indeed aromatic, strong in soy bean paste taste, and a bit generous with the ingredient. Kimchi Jjigae @ RM 18 is a classic this where the flavour here is mild sour but slightly more on the spicy side.
For my bbq set, I will always need my Baby octopus @ RM 28, Spicy Pork Ribs @ RM 28, Pork Belly @ RM 26, Pork Shoulder @ RM 25
The fragrant of the pork smells so good.
We add On Grill Beef Short Ribs @ RM 54. Marinated to perfection where it is so aromatic and juicy.
Another classic dish is their Spicy Rice Ball @ RM 19. Sting in flavour and I love mine to be in the bbq pit for a while to get the little burnt seaweed taste.
Their Makgeolli has interesting flavour as this is also known as rice wine and you have some flavor choices of Original and Banana. For first timers, Banana flavour would be an good option as their classic or Original is indeed gives you the punch of rice wine flavour. Some of you might not used to it.
