One of the places that whenever I am back, I would constantly drop by this place for a bowl of pippin hot laksa that is under the shade and not hot which is quite near my house. Farlim Shell Station Laksa is quite famous to this neighbourhood 15 years ago when they are the first stall to operate in front of Shell Station then follow by many food stalls came long that make it quite impressive place to dine for afternoon till late evening.
One main reason we did not know why the council came by to make them move and since then a few of my favourite stalls like the soya bean, curry mee, prawn mee, rojak and another stall of laksa went to. Its quite sad when a famous street food is being dismantle.
Till now left this shop which is the first original Laksa stall that operate there have move to a shop and also coffee shop that solely sells ASAM Laksa back in those days and now they have Roti Bakua and Koey Teow Soup stalls. To quench your thrist they have dessert stalls that sell ice kacang, leng chee kang and some others.
This is one of a famous Laksa stall in this neigbourhood that had been operating more than 10 years since the dismantle of the food street and still find it pretty good and easily beats many stalls out there.
This is what I mean when you dine peacefully with not much crowd yet the bowl of Laksa is quite satisfying.
The version of Asam laksa here is serve with different types of veggie as per usual and you can add on Ikan Kembung slices on top.
Not only that, as I usually dine mine with their fried spring rolls with additional small bowl of soup at the side as the spring roll is cripsy inside out and generous ingredient in it, while another style of eating it is to soak it with laksa soup and eat after that.
Love the texture of Rice noodle which is silky smooth and slightly chewy end to my liking and with its aromatic soup that had been cook along with tons of fish in it that make is sweet, spicy and sour end that make it very appetizing. Indeed one of my favourite asam laksa place to hunt for.
With add on 1 spring roll with additional fish @ RM 5 which is pretty decent. Its just next to the famous Pasar Malam place on every Wednesday.
