Starting next week, it will be the starting week of Ramandan week whereby most of the Muslim will be fasting a month before Hari Raya a month later. Mosaic.
Of course years over years, many restaurants especially hoteliers have taken the opportunity to promote their best dishes to cater for all Muslim friends in Malaysia. Over the years and a newly refurbish restaurant that since opens its door to public had maintain its quality of food till date which is Mosaic that located at Ground Floor of Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
With their new outlook, that provides comfort and contemporary ambience is one of the place that you would seriously consider to host many of your family, friends or company gathering here.
Starting off with their cheeze counter with variety to choose from along with fresh bread at the side.
One of it is their Chocolate & Macaroons counter as at, Mandarin Oriental is also pretty famous for their Macaroons.
I have always admire on their buffet selection that is not too huge to walk around yet most of them are good, as with a few sections to be paying attention at.
Follow by fresh Japanese section that most of us would love it, that is always filled with fresh Salmon, Tuna, Oyster, and a few others more. . .
Make two steps behind you will reach a little island on the center which is filled with salad and dressing with a few ingredietns to add on along with some little introduction of Mediterranean cuisine like Huumus and a few more.
Not only that, in this little island also sits one of the most important cuisine for the rest of the month which is all our local dishes for Ramadan will be available here. Ranging from Ayam Masak Merah . . .
For mains they have more than 50 traditional delights to go for such as Lemang, Ayam Kurma Seri Melayu, Sambal Udang PEtai, Udang Galah Lemak Cili Api, Ikan Bakar and many more. .
Rojak – filled with mixture of vegetable and top with satay gravy. .
Steam Ketupat to go along with Rendang. .
Head a little further up,you will reach one of our spices counter which is Indian Cuisine. I love the food here as the spices of gravy is strong enough to make the umph and most of the thick enough to go along with rice or nan.
When you are in Mosiac dining, this is one of my all time favourite place that I rarely miss or never miss before.
Their BBQ/ Grilled section. You can choose any of the selection available for the day, then take other food at other counter and come back bout 5-10 minutes to collect your fresh ready cook dishes. The timing depends on how much order is being in queue. At times can take as long as half hour.
Roast Lamb . .
Love their Satay, well marinated. .
After this counter, you will reach more Asian Chinese cuisine, with stir fried vegetable,
So far I love their soup too. It really depends as it comes with soup of the day . .
Last food counter of the round will fall into Italian.
After you take one whole round, you will finally comes to the dessert section. Which will be a place must visit all our heavy meal.
The variety of dessert here is good enough to kill me off with just a few items.
And their in-house Gelato is also to hunt for .. I took all 5 flavours available for the night and Mango is one of my favourite.
If you are looking for a nice place to dine in KL during Ramadan Month, Mosiac is one of my recommendation place for you to Buka Puasa.
