Final day in this island and had quick catch up with friends and was introduce to meet up at Toby’s Estate located in Robertson Quay, Singapore which is just a stone throw away from our hotel.
Read some blogs upon writing this, that this place is famous for their coffee or some even commented that one of the best in the area or town.
Toby’s Estate a Austrailian-style cafe and roaster. Understand that their house blend is a special combination of mixing variety of beans hence you get that strong unique flavour profile also believe this cafe had been operating more than 7 years which I read some blogs way back to 2012.
I guess Saturday is off day for mom’s as dad’s is taking care kids.
Early in the morning for breakie, it is chill to sit outside and enjoy your breakfast. A little bit look alike of Yarra River in Melbourne.
forgot to take picture of menu and the food here is pretty normal. Nothing much to shout about for such presentation. If you are here for a simple breakie then yes.
Eggs benedict with prosciutto
Toby’s French Toast @ SGD 14. Thick toast bread with abit caramelise espresso flavoured bacon and with berries serve as sides. Very simple and direct. Fluffy bread and quite alright. A combination of savoury and sweet.
Egg benedict with salmon
A new term for me which is Gibraltar Latte @ SGD 4.50. I was told it is a very strong coffee and decided to order. My idea is like Picollo Latte but in double shot. It is indeed very strong. profile coffee is very unique as it smells abit floral but taste is hit the strong on first sip and end in sour end which is quite acidic. Not really my type of coffee.
While Latte @ SGD 5 quite milky that overpowering the coffee taste.
Masala Chai Latte @ SGD 6 here is amazing. Fragrant of spices and milk is well balance- Recommended~
Food here is not that impressive as they are very simple and direct. Taste is not too bad as I believe with the pricing you are able to find better ones around the area. However, Toby’s Estate is regard as one of a authentic Melbourne cafe in the island.
Over here is simple food and coffee (depending on your taste profile) did not really suit my palate. They do have strong crowd and establish since more than 7 years, maybe you could give it a try.
