One of a new place that I got introduce by @sYcookie whom is a breadlover herself. Tommy Lee Baker is one of her favourite baker that she had been following. I did not understand the whole vibe of it till I google about them. Truly I am impress as a person whom he bake for passion and with strong believe of his product along grooming young talents.
Tommy Lee Baker started way back since 2011 by operating in Viva Residency, Jalan Ipoh, with his style also known as French baker that focus on sourdough and other breads. I am not a big fan of these breads as I am still learning how to enjoy it. His passion also spread out by training a few apprentice and hope that the art of making bread will continue.
Well, his process are no secret as he is only using a few ingredients: flour, water, salt and yeast. No sugar. No fats. No eggs. No milk powder and lets the fermentation move naturally.
This new place Kampung Atap located nearby Jalan Loke Yew is indeed quite a hidden gem, that is turning this mini building into some art and cool F&B concept. This is one of the new place that they are operating.
His signature sourdough bread are bake in limited quantity a day. Therefore, it is while stock last.
Menu changes along the way.
We ordered Sourdough Sandwich @ RM 18 and a cheese platter @ RM 20 and Ice Coffee to start off our day.
Love the ingredient in the sandwich as, it is fresh, well balance of taste and recommended if you are there and of course as a French bread, the outer crust is hard. The bread texture is medium soft and just nice to my liking.
Cheese platter is rather good too as the cheese are carefully pick by Tommy himself.
Well, fit well with the ice long black in warm morning and such a chill place. Do note that the place open air space. It can get very warm once getting later in the afternoon.
