Google and check out Restaurant Siaw Kwee 加影萧家辣汤 as it is one of the recommended ones in links and decided to try it out. Since heard many of my friends mention that Kajang is famous for “Lat Thong” (spicy soup on my own interpretation).
While arrive hear, this place seems legit as it is operating both corner lot and gave the impression of brisk business with huge expansion.
Not many people as it is late lunch and was around 2.30pm .
Friends was craving for fried rice so ordered one. Nothing to shout about.
Claypot Salted Pork looks good and turns out to be quite decent. Love the caramelise version of it and pork is cook to perfection. Would prefer salted fish to be more salty to give the extra umph!
The signature and most talk about is the so called “Lat Tong” which caught out of my expectation. I would have thought spicy soup would be turn out something spicy but it is actually peppery spicy. Soup base is normal as fragrant of pepper is there, especially you can taste it uses the seed of pepper and a plate of veggie to go along.
Told my friend about this and they told me I went to the wrong shop. It used to be one of the top spot few years back and over the years, their quality had dropped alot. Well, will head back to hunt again.
If I remember correctly, bill came about RM 48.
