It seems that Korean Bbq shop is popping every where now. One of the latest arrival from Korea to Malaysia is this new brand – Apple Samgyupsal Korean BBQ that is currently operating their first shop at Taman Desa. A shop that is operating away from the busy district of Taman Desa that sits nearer to Old Klang Road.
As you can see in their logo, Apple + Pork. Most of the item in here are infuse with apple base that is making the food quite interesting.
There are also a huge board on the wall teaching you on the method of cooking and eating.
As you are seated down you are then treated with the usual banchan.
Set price are reasonable and would recommend to hit on their BBQ Sharing Set that fits for 3-4 pax @ RM 168. As for this set, you get unlimited packet of Ramyum upon request.
Every one will have apple slices on the table and you are curious what are you going to do with it?
This is Apple Platter @ RM 88.
Pork Cuts in here are marinated in apple for 24 hours and then smoked with apple smoke chips before putting onto the grill.
As for the sides, they serve you with their signature onion dressing with apple with apple infuse soy base, and their thick honey apple. With the apple slices, the purpose of this is to:
- Upon your Pork meat is done, you put the pork meat onto one apple slices (instead of the usual with vegetable)
- Then add on with onion apple soy on top, follow by the honey apple sauce.
- Then you put everything into your mouth to get the burst of fragrant bbq apple and sweetness of it
Remark: do not put too much as the flavour of sweetness might be overpowering the juicy pork.
Just like this. You will get a nice juicy texture and crisp from apple.
Cooking with pork belly slices as the meat might be too fatty for me. Samgyupsal – Spicy @ RM
L.A Galbi @ RM 40 which is marinated in their special sauce and it is good.
Wang Galbi @ RM 32
This is the unlimited ramyum refill. Loving it.
It will only be perfect with some alcohol along. Their Apple Magoli is something you can try it out.
This place is not your typical Korean BBQ place as the the meat here is marinated with apple base and there are also classic item that you can choose. Their Jjajang Bbap is pretty good too. Worth to give this place a try.
