It had been a while since I last surveyed and look into property industries till recently, I have been actively observing around. Economic are bad and many developer had hold on their launch, however there are those few development that have completed their handover to new owners. There are serveral new township been born over the past few years. Bukit Puchong is one of them where Epic Residence is one of the finishing project with handover keys soon to the owner.
This place is a new township of Bukit Puchng by BP Newtown, a new development by Bukit Hitam Development Sdn Bhd (a member of the TAHPS Group Berhad). This township will take another 8 years to complete. In a new township, there are a few elements which is very important such as eatery, pharmacy and other important architecture like grocery stores, hospitals is in a consideration for many new owner.

However on my end, I went for a food trail to discover what is the eatery nearby this new neigbhourood and I came out with Top 5 Eatery at Bukit Puchong that begins with :
No.1: Warung Cikgu
Warung Cikgu is one of a hidden gem in this area as they are famous to many nearby folks here as where they are operating in one of the oldest development in this area. The queue is not lunch time as this is breakfast queue. We were told to be here before 10am to order their famous fried fish and only found out it is sold out!
This place is famous for their Nasi Mmanggey that is like a nasi bungkus where it is pack with a base of nasi kukus and top with a few ingredients of your choice. We chose Fried chicken, and some chicken spare parts. Rice is fragrant and aromatic and the best is their curry. Do ask for more curry if you love it to be slightly “basah/Banjir”. Curry is fragrant and believe it do have some little spices. If you love spicy, do get their sambal more as it do give you extra kick for a breakfast that will keep you stay awake.
Besides that, for drinks where you can see nearly every table would order is their Kelapa Baldi @ RM 5 or Coconut Shake @ RM 3.50

No.2 : Restaurant Tuan Faridah
Just not too far, and if you are looking for something different, Restoran Tuan Faridah is famous for their Ayam Kampung dan Masakan Pantai Timur menu. To me It really does look like Masakan Padang from Indonesia or to us know as economy rice. This is the Malay version where there are a few items that is well known in this shop such as their fried ayam kampung, seafood, crab curry and many others.
However, the cooking method of this place is more towards on East Coast Side.
To me, it is near to Padang food as all dishes are serve separately, where just lack of stacking and it is a must to get some greens at the side. They also famous for the fermanted Durian paste with sambal and chili which is quite a unique combination for me.

No.3: KP Tong Hong Restaurant
Just about 30 meters away, KP Tong Hong Restaurant brings you this famous classic cooking from Kuala Pilah. The owner were quite surprise to see us for being one of the early customer where usually this neighborhood dine slightly late lunch.
We requested to the owner to introduce us their signature dish, as the order came to Pork Rib Pie & Park Far Chicken, Spring Roll, Sambal Prawn & White Sotong, Sea Grouper steamed in Teo Chew style.
As we were told that Pork Rib Pie is one of a famous dish back in Kuala Pilah.

No.4: Diem CAfe
If you think this neighborhood do not have cafe like I do, I am totally wrong. Diem Cafe is now operating at their new shop lot development which is just sitting right behind Epic Residence. You can get your usual heavy breakfast such as Big Breakfast, coffee, sandwiches, waffle and with other slight twist choices of food would be: Tori Teriyaki Don & Fusion Noodle which is made up of miso & kimchi based soup, corn, egg & karaage chicken.
For me, their Nasi Lemak @ RM 18.90 is a must order. One of the best that I come across as it gives me a very nice homecook taste that resembles the classic cooking method back in Butterworth, Penang. Curry is creamy enough yet not too spicy and fragrant. Rice is cook to perfection with aroma of santan and sambal is just nice. Indeed a near perfect Nasi Lemak to my liking.

No.5 : Restaurant Chef K
If cafe food is too heavy, then just few doors away, is Chef K. Been Operating in this area for a while and gain many regulars back to his shop for classic bowl of noodle. We’ve heard that the owner of Chef K is related to the mastermind of ‘Ma Ta Liu’ Curry Mee @ Xin Quan Fang 新泉芳咖喱面茶餐室, Ipoh. Their curry noodle is indeed the Ipoh version.
Chek K signature noodles are Pan Mee, yee mee, beehoon in dry, soup or spicy version. Do order their special in house special fried fish dumpling. Generous in ingredient. My option would be a bowl of curry Mee and Fried Fish dumpling.
