Recently it seems that Jaya One is moving into anothr level that there are more and more cafe owners came by to open out coffee places. One of the latest addition into this property is Salt ‘n Koffie whereby the owner totally have the passion in making coffee. Quite is full day job as both husband and wife, friends decided to open up this shop. They went all the way to Singapore to master the skills of making good coffee at one of the schools there.
Previously the place was suppose to be a bigger cafe and instead of doing it so big, the owner decided lets start with a small cozy area for everyone.
A simple decor with wood, recycle customize tables and chairs that make up the place pretty interesting.
They do have a good selection of cakes from a home baker and its pretty good to go along with their coffee.
Both of them are avid divers as whenever they travel to dive, they do buy back some items to sell.
One of their coffee to try is their Salt ‘n Koffie Signature as a simple shot of brew coffee topped with nicely done milk and the magic to make this unique is they add in special sea salt. The Salty Koffie @ RM 13
Taste is rather interesting as it has mild salty end yet making the coffee very aromtic, not too robust yet not too strong that comes to my liking.
If you love Affogato, then this is a must have in this cafe. They have cleverly blend it with our current famous local coconut ice cream – Sangkaya known as The Accidental Affogato @ RM12
ITs very addictive for this as I constantly nearly down it. Coconut ice cream is chill to make the coffee structure to change to very smooth and easy to drink. The combination of both of it is just amazing.
This is another version of coffee yet as I have introduce a few to drink, some they love it some they do not. I quite love it as its a Mint Mocha..
Chocolate taste is pretty strong to dark chocolate yet the end taste of mint make it pretty refreshing.
If you just wanna enjoy Sangkaya Ice cream only, they are available as the dark syrup is not gula melaka or sweet end but they cleverly use a mini shot of coffee to pour ontop of it.
My current breakfast or lunch meal is their Tuna Toast. Done to perfection as the fillings are pretty generous and I love the texture of the homemade thick bread.
Mocha
Latte
Red Velvet is not my kind of cake yet still give it a try.
Since this cafe had opend, it had turn to one of my regular coffee place as I rate them one of the best coffee around the area at the moment as the coffee taste is what as I prefer. Not too robust in taste, slightly mild arabica, as the beans are specially customize for them from Singapore. Combination of 3 countries to make it taste awesome. If you love nice cuppa, this is currently one of my recommended place.
