Penang is an area full with food, and what is lacking of course a nice coffee place and dessert shop. I mean a dessert shop which is cakes. As I am a cake lover, my friend introduce me to this shop Dolce Dessert Cafe which is operating at this heritage row that have one of a colourful lighting to the shop lots.
As you walked in, we are greeted by the friendly owner and one of the chef, and I quickly walk to check their cake display counter and I am amaze on the range that they have.
they have cute drawings on the wall . . .
Cafe Latte @ RM 9
Cappucino @ RM 9 & Ice Latte @ RM 11
Macarons @ RM 3.50
At the display counter, its too tempted not to order this Mango Cake Tart @ RM 10 is one of a very interesting range that they have. Mango is very sweet, yet the sponge cake is soft and aromatic, the crust is not over back and just nice to bite. A good one.
Macha Tiramisu @ RM 9.90. Did not really like it because macha is too powdery. Still prefer my classic type of tiramisu.
For those who celebrate birthday, you can get them to make you a macarons tower too. 😀
Mango Cheese Cake @ RM 6.80 is pretty decent as the taste of cheese is there, not too strong yet top with mango cubes and puree to make it better.
Cakes here are not bad, as its pretty hard to find in Penang to offer such variety of cakes besides my top favourite China House which is also different range of cakes that they are offering.
