Another place for lunch in Jalan Alor is this kopitiam known as Restaurant Beh Brothers. At night this kopitiam serve Thai “Dai Chow” and Bak Kut Teh. In the afternoon there are two stalls is well known to many lunch patrons which is the noodle shop in this coffee shop and also Indonesian Economy rice right behind it.
What I have been told that if you are at this stall, there are a few items that introduce by my colleague is, their Pork Noodle, Red Wine Mee Sua(which is their signature), Curry noodle and dry wan tan mee.
The Curry noodle presentation here is quite similiar to Alor Corner Curry Mee and the taste is quite different too. For this bowl, it is serve with fresh cockles, tau pok, pork skin and chicken meat where I chose Wan tan noodle as the base. Curry here is slightly watery, not too thick, chili paste add on the thickness of spicy where there is a little spices taste in it. Both of this stall have their own character. Love the wonton noodle as it have slight springy texture. @ RM 9
One of the Wan Ton Dry noodle which is their own version. Love this too as Springy noodle texture with mince meat gravy and their own version of BBQ pork. A simple dish yet satisfying.
Tried their instant pork noodle too, where plenty of pork ingredients in it, from liver, mince meat, pork meat, kidney and others. Instantly cook with their special broth, and top with pork lard. Soup is more on a clear side which is not too thick in flavour yet just right put my cravings to stop.
This Stall which is the Indonesian Economy Rice is quite well known to many construction worker and staff around the area where there are alot of take away. Quite good too.
