I am a big fan of Penang Curry Mee and since Vkeong just mention his top 10 spot of favourite curry place, I will be moving around with his recommendations. First stop was to Sun Sea Kopitiam at OUG which apparently housing a Penang Curry Mee Stall that is run by 3 young chap with a famous note of Penang Curry Mee from Kuantan Road.
In Penang, this stall is indeed one of a famous stall when I was a kid and decided to check them out.
I reached late (1.15pm) on that day and it was on the verge of luck either the sold out or left not much to go. Luck was on my end that as I ordered, they are only left 5 bowls to sold out, as I read that to be there before 1pm or sometimes earlier that it will go sold out.
As I seated down, only I realise another stall is also actually well known to many folks in this area. OUG famous pork noodle is actually next door and it can be ordered and serve in here too. Will try that next round.
When I saw this, I am all over the cloud, as the colour of soup, texture and ingredient definately a match back to Penang version especially with pig blood and cockles. Another best part is their chili paste. Indeed this is a perfect bowl of Kuantan Road Curry Mee. After mix it all, soup is pack with flavour from the chili paste, which is fragrant with mild spices and has a little hint of sweet end.
Definitely one of a highly recommended best Penang Curry Mee Stall at OUG. Will be back!
