Uptown Damansara is certainly famous for a place whereby no parking. Not only that, as recently there are alot of eateries that open in this area. Not to neglact those are well establish such as their famous Hokkien Mee in this area. Restaurant Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee is one of a signature place to be when you are craving for this. I usually dine the other outlet and this is my first time coming here after a while.
Right after 8pm, you can see they are starting to expand their tables and chairs to the road side and as it gets latter at night, more and more people will flock to this eatery. It is even worst when comes to weekend as many clubbers will stop here for their supper.
In their preparation of ingredients, they have already prepare mountain high ingredients to cater for all this hungry folks.
Imagine the noodles are being stir fried in this massive customize cooking pot & stove.
The roast duck do look tempting and decided to give it a try. However there are others that are better. @ RM 18 which is pretty expensive.
Here is their famous Stir Fried Hokkien Mee (KL version) as we Penangnites call it ‘Tua Pui Mee’ (fat Noodle) @ RM 7. Quite a decent plate that stir with dark sauce and filled with wok hei. The difference for this noodle compare to the other outlet is that the dark soy sauce taste slightly more sweet and fragrant compare to the other.
For chicken wings I love the other outlet better.
Their Kam Hiong Clams was a let down.
The trick is to add in their homemade chili paste into it and for the pork lard, you need to add in RM0.50 more for it. Its not crispy and fragrant.
For both outlet, there are flaws here and there and overall food range they have, I prefer the other outlet. However for this outlet, I prefer their Stir Fried Hokkien Mee.
